The following general conditions that can be completed or changed from time to time belong to all our service provided on-line, by e-mail or by phone directly or indirectly (by means of our distribution partners). By visiting our webpages and making reservation you agree and confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to the below mentioned general conditions (including privacy protection).

 

1. Purpose of our service

By means of www.booking21.com and by associated web pages www.vikingbooking.com and www.praguetourist.com we, Group 2000, s.r.o. (later just Booking21.com), are offering on line basis, where hotels (we mean all types of accommodation) can advertise their rooms and services to be booked and where visitors to these webpages can make these bookings.  If you make booking by means of Booking21.com you enter direct (obliged by law) contract with the respective hotel. As your reservation is made Booking21.com (or www.vikingbooking.com a www.praguetourist.com) is working exclusively as intermediary between you and the hotel, which means that we pass data about your reservation to the hotel and send you email hotel confirmation on behalf of its name.

Information concerning hotels and their services are based on data offered us by hotels themselves. Each hotel has access to the System and is fully responsible that all prices are actual, the rooms are really available and it is responsible for all data displayed on www.booking21.com (or www.vikingbooking.com a www.praguetourist.com).
So we can not guarantee correctness and completeness of all data and we are not responsible for any mistake (incl. misprints, any interruption caused by temporary and/or partial cut, updates, upgrades or maintenance of our webpage or otherwise). We are not responsible for misleading or wrong information or non-delivery of information. At any time each hotel is responsible for  correctness, completeness and  topicality of information displayed on www.booking21.com (or www.vikingbooking.com a www.praguetourist.com) (incl. prices and availability).

 

2. Prices and best price guarantee
 
Prices on www.booking21.com (or www.vikingbooking.com a www.praguetourist.com) are highly competitive. All price on www.booking21.com (or www.vikingbooking.com a www.praguetourist.com) are for all room and for all your stay and are displayed inc. VAT and all other taxes (which can be continuously changed) and fees.

3. Privacy

Booking21.com respects your privacy. With exception of data requested by law at any relevant law system, we do not make accessible your personal data to any third parties involved without your express permission. As for further information please see our Privacy statement

 

4. Free service

Our service is free. We will not charge you anything for our service nor we will add any reservation fees to the room price. We  will not charge your credit card because for your stay you pay directly to the hotel. The exceptions are some specified hotels using different system of providing their rooms and services where it is necessary to pay partly in advance (System 3D secure) at the time of booking confirmation. These special conditions will be mentioned in booking and cancelation terms of the concrete hotel.

 

5. Credit Card

The hotels request information concerning your credit card to guarantee your reservation. Data about your credit card are sent directly to the hotel where your reservation is made and in some case its verification can be applied (pre-authorisation). To secure and encrypt data concerning your credit card we use recommended standard PCI (Payment Card Industry) technologies.

The hotels that request advance payment to confirm your reservation do not obtain data about your credit card but direct payment from your credit card is applied to the account of the hotel. For this purpose 3D secure service is used when information concerning your credit card are proceeded by the credit card provider and the respective bank.

Please take into account the information that in case of some prices and special offers the pre-authorisation can be made or some payment can be realized (sometimes without possibility to return money) when booking and confirmation is made. Before proceeding such a reservation please check carefully information about your room.

In case of a credit card cheating or using your credit card without authorisation by a third party most banks and card issuing companies bear the risk and cover all realized payments or misuses.  

 

6. Cancellation

By completing your reservation you accept and agree to cancellation terms and any other hotel conditions concerning your booking or your stay including all service provided by the hotel. General cancellation terms of each hotel are available on our web page regarding to hotel info pages, during your booking procedures and in our confirming e-mail. In special case it is not possible to change or cancel your reservation. By filling-in the form during reservation procedure you are obliging yourself to observe these cancellation terms.

 

7. Other communication

By making your reservation you agree to receive:

1. E-mail that will be sent to you shortly before the first day of your stay and which will include information about your hotel and the offer of other information and the service concerning your booking (including third party services to enlarge our offer as pair your request).

2. E-mail which will be sent to you shortly after your stay in the hotel with request to fill in our form of guests review. The completed guest review can be recorded on the respective hotel info page just to inform future client about your opinion of hotel qualities and service level. We reserve our right to refuse or delete your evaluation according to our consideration. The form should be regarded just as a survey and it does not include any further (commercial) offers, challenges and marketing.

Except from e-mails above no other correspondence will be sent  to you unless you expressly ask for it.

 

8. Disclaimer

In accordance with limitation stated in these General Terms we are responsible just for direct damages caused to you by our proved negligence up to the total amount of your booking cost as it is mentioned in our confirming e-mail (either in specific case or in more linked cases)

Neither we nor other affiliated companies can be responsible for:

1. any criminal, specific, indirect or resolved lost or damage, for any production, profit , income, or contract loss, or any loss of good fame or reputation, or claim loss

2. any incorrectness concerning information about the hotel available on our web page (including prices, availability and ratings)  

3. services provided or products offered by the hotel

4. any (direct, indirect, resolved, or penal) damages, losses or costs you suffered, or caused to you, or paid by yourself on basis or as result or in connection with using of our web page, or incapability to use it

5. any hurt, deaths, property damage or any other (direct, indirect, special, resolved or penal) damages, losses or costs caused to you or those you had to pay as a result of legal acts, mistakes, non-observance, big negligence, deliberate improper behaviour omission, non-realization, dis-interpretation,  trespass that can go (fully or partly) to the account of hotel (its employees, managers, clerks, agents, representatives or associated companies), and this including any (partial) cancellation, overbooking, work stoppage or force majeure 

 

9. Miscellaneous

Software needed for our service and available and used on our web page www.booking21.com and www.vikingbooking.com and www.praguetourist.com and intellectual property rights (incl. author rights) in relation to content, information and materials on our web page are property of Group 2000, s.r.o., and its suppliers and providers if not stated otherwise.

The above conditions and providing of our services follows Czech law and any disputes caused in relation with these General Terms and our services will be proceeded exclusively to competent court yards in Prague, Czech Republic.

 

10. Privacy

Information collecting

During your booking reservation you will be asked to fill-in an online form where you should mention your name and surname, address (or your employer address), (private or business) email address, phone number (mobile, home, or work), credit card data (type, number, security code CVC, validity, card name holder). This information is needed to proceed your booking (including sending confirmation email to your address).

 

Remittance of personal information

For our service we need following information :

Execution of booking

In order to execute your reservation your name, contact data and data about your credit card will be remitted only to the respective hotel with exception of cases requested by law, police investigation, or procedure at the court.

 

Registration of visitors, login and use of cookies and web beacons

For our services and products and their improvement we will use temporary or permanent cookies, third party authorised cookies, web beacons and/or other technologies in order to be able to gather impersonal identifiable data to follow visitors activity and to audit and to register number of visits and use of our webpages.

We need to understand how people use our webpages. For marketing analyses and to improve the quality we collect, store and proceed, and on anonymous basis we use various data and information, e.g. total number of transactions, visited webpages, links, platform type, date and time information, e.g. number of mouse clicks on the respective page, mouse movements, rollings on page, used searched words and text written during the time that you spend on our webpage (further mentioned just as “Data”).

To avoid falsification, misuse and for police purpose also your IP address, browser type and your internet provider will be registered and used.

Will you consider that from time to time we can use third party service for marketing analysis or quality improvement (further just as “Service providers”). These service providers can observe visitors activities. Information about use of our pages including data, your ISP, browser and IP address is transmitted and registered on servers of service providers.

We do not share any personal information with service providers and these providers will not gather any personal identifiable information (“OII”). OII do not include your IP address, browser type or your web provider. We reserve the right to share and transmit your personal information to government or investigation authorities if it is in compliance with the law. 

Protection of your privacy online

Be sure that the protection of personal data is in Booking.com in full compliance with respective European Acts of Law in order to prevent incidental misuse.

Security of your credit card

To secure your personal data we use respective commercial systems and procedures. E.g. information about your credit card go to us through fully secure server which encrypts all your personal data and credit card information. This encryption method is the standard technology  "Secure Socket Layer" (SSL). Our SSL certificate was issued by the company 
Thawte: www.thawte.com.

Except of this we use security procedures and technical and physical barriers for access and use of personal information. Only authorised staff are entitled to process personal information just in framework of our services.

Our server and network are protected from unauthorised access by firewall programs. We also have available detection system of intruding that audit and reveal (an attempt of) unauthorised access or misuse of our servers.

Your credit card data are safely deleted after certain time.

Booking21.com will send you the following email

After booking you will get confirmation with details about your booking. You can take this written confirmation with you to the hotel as a proof of your booking. Shortly before your arrival we may send you an reminding email (see 7.1). Shortly after your reservation we may send an evaluation request email (see 7.2).
